Dear Sayas and Colleagues,
Here's some feedback/suggestions/news I received from the alumni. =================== 68 intake (74 grads) ===================

Ko Win Lin (a) Alfred Hu represented RIT in basketball (1969, 70, 71). I remembered that we went and cheered them at the RC (Recreation Centre). Win Naing (a) Albert (Taunggyi) and Myint Wai from 1968 intake are also in the team.

Ko Myo Thant (EP 74), Houston, Texas will be attending the reunion. I'll send the check to Ko Maurice and also please send the ticket to my address and add him in the list. I hope its not too late. Is it possible to seat him at our table together with our other classmates?
========== Overflow ==========

I have received $50.00 for ticket No. 156 from Saya U Tin Maung Nyunt (Mech) and $50.00 donation (no ticket) from Saya U Ye Myint (Civil). I am holding two tickets for Judson Leong & Shirley. He will pick them up in a few days. Judson Leong is a contemporary of Saya U Aung Khin. I am also holding one ticket for Violet Yaung who is returning from New York. I have contacted Oscar Shirazi (Civil '58) who will attend with his wife Nora, a former Lecturer in English at the Rangoon University. U Aye Min (Civil '58) has been contacted and will attend with his wife. I have it from Saya U Tin Htut that Dr Christopher Lee (L. Tin Tun) (Mech '59) is definitely attending with his wife Pamela. The numbers are growing. Overflowing? We need to seriously start planning for the overflow, provide some kind of less than ideal but acceptable arrangement for them to participate in the celebrations and take home fond precious memories. It is an obligation upon us not to turn back any alumni but to accomodate any way we can as best we can. This is a rare opportunity for all of us that is not likely to be repeated at this magnitude very soon. Banny Tan and I talked about it today and he is full of innovative ideas.

You must be overjoyed with the confirmed attendee countdown. It is much easier if this list will go below 300 line, but it won't be easy for the committee to decide how to reject after the dead line on 22 Sept. I am bit worried for that scenerio. This is the worldwide affair. P.S. My suggestion will be: (1) to fill the unpaid seats first and even if this don't work (2) to increase the capacity about 5%.

I would like to find out if it is too late to invite a Saya from Burma to the SPZP and Reunion at this time? If it is not, I and Ko Tin Win would like to sponsor Saya U Sein Maung (Electrical) and wife (Dr. Daw Saw Kyi). They looked after me and put up with me during my RIT years and I owe a lot to them. My schedule for Brazil trip is still uncertain and I am trying to work it out with my client.

1) It will be nice to have name tags (along with the year and major) on all the attendees. Most people will recongize others by their faces but not by the names and reluctant to ask. Some like to know what year and what major the person finished RIT. 2) Although everybody will be bringing their own cameras, it will be nice to have at least one photographer taking everybody's pictures or for whoever requests to do so. Then people can buy or pay the cost from the committee and get them. This way they get their own pictures without asking someone to take with their camera. If we have a designated person with a tag on so that everybody is free to ask to take theie pictures. I have a camera and I am not pro but if the committee needs someone I can help. But again I prefer someone who is a pro or close to it with better equipment assigned for this task.

Thanks Auz (Ko Aung Zaw Maung) for your suggestions.
1. Maurice will print the name badges. Attendees will collect them after showing their dinner tickets.
2. There will be a professional photographer (U Khin Maung) and an alumnus [expert] photographer (Richard Khoo aka Ko Kyaw Lynn). We need someone to take the videos. ====================================================================== That's all for now. With metta, Hla Min
