Please post this message for me. Saya Myo wants all the architects for a pre-reunion dinner on 10/27/2000. I need to know how many are coming.
Please let me know as soon as you are in town. I can be reached at: (415) 731-8309 Thanks Khin Khin Kyu =============================================================== To EC/EP/Electronics alum =============================================================== From Dr. San Tint (Yangon, Myanmar):
Dear all, Thank you all for your kind endeavor to enable me to join the ex-RIT Grand Reunion in US. Thanks also to Ko Win Shein (84 batch EC) for his invitation to New York. Now Leave, Passport & [US] Visa are ok. The only thing left to do is to apply for the two entry visas to Singapore: one for transit visa on the way to US and the other is for 3 day stay in Singapore when I come back from US. I have already booked a round trip air ticket (Singapore Air Line) with "Columbus Travel Tours" which is owned by my ex-student Ko Min Din (86 batch EC). The tentative flight schedule is as follows. I will leave Yangon on 25-10-2000 (Wed). I will arrive Singapore and transit overnight stay at a Hotel. The next morning I will fly to the US. Ko Myint Swe and Ma San San Nwe have offered me to stay at their Cupertino house [in the Bay Area]. As regards to Ko Win Shein's invitation to New York, we will arrrange the trip only upon arrival in the US. I intend to come back on 7-11-2000 (Tues) and arrive Singapore on 9-11-2000 (Thurs) and stopover there up to 12-11-2000 (Sunday). Thank you very much again and I look forward seeing you all in US and Singapore. Best Regards, Dr. San Tint

Editor's note: Several people have pledged to contribute towards the expenses of inviting Saya U San Tint over to the US. They include KMZ (EC76), our web master, Ko Min Maung (EP 68), Ko Aung Khin (EP 68), Ko Myint Swe (EP 74), Ma San San Nwe/Swe (EC 74), ... [from the US] and several alumni from Singapore, e.g. "Chartered Semiconductor Group" (organized by Ko Zaw Aung), Ko Yan San Oo, Ko Hla Kyi, ... Webmaster's note: More details of Saya's trip and itinerary will be published as soon as it is finalized. =============================================================== Vegetarians ===============================================================
If you are a vegeteraian, and have not yet contacted Maurice Chee, our Financial Controller, please do so. =============================================================== Seating Preferences ===============================================================
If you do not specify seating preferences, you will probably end up at a table with someone who has the same grad year and/or discipline.
We will try to accommodate the requests, but cannot give you a guarentee.
As of this date, Ko Ba Thein is the President [and only member] of the Standing Committee -- to stand [if necessary] at the rear of the room. He says that "participation is primary" [and seating is secondary]. =============================================================== We want to see Saya U Ba Toke ===============================================================
An alumnae called me saying that her elder sister [who is a medical doctor] wants to come to the Reunion to meet Saya U Ba Toke. Both sisters were classmates and close friends of Sayagyi's daughters. [They spent a lot of time at Sayagyi's house(s).]
Several former students of Sayagyi -- now senior sayas themselves -- are happy that Sayagyi will be coming to the Reunion.
Thanks to the alumni who contributed towards the expenses of inviting Sayagyi over to the US: Saya Allen Htay, Saya U Tin Htut, Ko Maung Maung Than, Ko Zaw Min Nawaday, Ko [Phillip] Mya Thwin, ... =============================================================== That's all for now. With metta, Hla Min
