Sayalay Ko Thein Aung is compiling profiles of the Sayagyis. The project will be extended to all Sayas and Sayamas resources permitting.
U Kyaw Hlaing taught Burmese in RIT 3/4 years in the 70s. Saya U Kyaw Hlaing is known for teaching Burmese Buddhist culture to the younger generation. Grapevine says that he is endowed with ESP.
Saya U Sein Win (retired Professor, Electrical) is now a consultant. Saya will be visiting Singapore and Malaysia next week. He wants to have teleconference with his ex-students. Interested people should contact Ko Hla Kyi (EC 77).
Saya U Sein Maung (Elec 63), currently a faculty member in Bangkok, Thailand, will be attending the Reunion with his spouse. Coming from Los Angeles will be U Myint Thein, elder brother of Saya Dr. Tin Win (Mech 62), Ma Rosie (ex-faculty, Chemistry) and Penny (70). U Myint Thein is the brother-in-law of Ko Aung Khin (EP 68). UMT is an RIT associate. He attended BOC in 1955. He went for further studies and received his MS in Forestry from Australia. His son Ye Myat (a) Ye Myint Thein, a graduate of UCSD (University of California at San Diego) is an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) designer.
Dr. Wan Chan (Moe Sein) is 1969 intake batch and a classmate of Maurice (Mech 75). He left before graduating from RIT and he now lives in Los Altos. He is a founding member of bonustree.com
According to Benny, Charlie Tan works for Agilent Technologies. He and his wife both attended RIT but finished their studies here in U.S. He is 1969 intake batch and his wife is 1972 intake batch.
According to Benny, Reggie Chan will be coming with his brother Tommy Chan (Civil 72).
