David Ko (a) U Tin Myint (Mech 68, Fremont, CA) is a GOLDEN sponsor. He has donated $1000 to the general fund for "RIT Alumni International". His success as an entrepreneur has been documented in a BAPS newsletter. We have asked permission from Maurice Chee, Publisher, and Henry Lim, Chief Editor to reprint that article from the BAPS newsletter.
Saya U Kyaw Myint (Auto, Beijing, China) and his spouse will be attending the RIT Reunion and Saya Pu Zaw Pwe. For Saya's picture [taken with Saya U Aung Khin], see the "Photo Gallery". Editor's note: There can be three U Kyaw Myint(s) at the Reunion. According to U Myat Htoo (Civil 68), co-chair, Steering Committee:
Madan Chand (Civil 70), who has already bought a ticker, cannot make it to the Reunion. He has been looking forward to this once-in-a-lifetime event; now, he feels so sorry that he will not be able to see his sayas, colleagues and friends. His mother-in-law, who lives in England, suddenly becomes sick from cancer. His wife is planning to go to England this month and will has to stay there for a while. Madan has to take care of their children at home. He said he will donate the money he already paid for his ticket to the reunion expense funds.
Shun Wong (EP 75) alone will be attending the Reunion. Earlier, he had planned to bring along his spouse. Unfortunately, his wife will not be able to attend the reunion. He will keep one ticket for himself, but return the other ticket. Editor's note: Some people have to work on the weekend of October 28-29. Others (e.g. Ko Thein Aung [Met 72]) plan to take vacation before and after the event so that he can show some Sayas round the Bay Area.
Some people (e.g. Reland Chend (a) Ko Kyi Aung (ChE 73)) planned to come alone, but he has bought another ticket. Some people (e.g. Dr. Win Aung [Mech 62]) wanted to bring along their spouses, but their spouses have to take care of the grandchildren [when the nannies go home and the parents had not returned from work].
One alumnus said that his wife [an intern] would be on call that weekend, and he would have to take care of the children himself. Kudos to Saya U Mya Thwin (a) Kuensan Lin (Ch 66) and Ma Suzie (EP 74) who made the bold decision to bring along Raymond although the schools will be open by that time. Their e-mail also prompted the "undecided" to buy tickets for the Reunion. ========= Relations =========
