| | Just read in Irrawady web site about the censorship committee banned historian Dr. Than Htun from publishing his articles in the local magazines. Not sure but his crime is that expressing his candid opinion about the white elephant which is honoured as the new treasure of
the nation. If the censorship committe really did such a stupid act then I wonder we are back in the pre-colonial era when we lose our independence thanks to the stupidity of our officials such as King Won and Titar Mingyis. If someones tried to seal knowledge of the people and let their own people living with naiveness and stupidity just for the sake of kissing the legs of the ruling organization.(Just hoping that they might like it and they might reserve some patronage for them then we will soon face the fate of enslavery by smarter and more open minded species (I think we are already culturally, financially enslaved by foreign forces thanks to our so called patriots who blind folded us, sealed our mouths, close our ears and I really felt despair after reading that. Hope that is rumor and wished so few remaining intellectuals do their own work. Let's show the love to country by speaking out bolder and sharper. Let's build up assets from the differences and let's open minded. Wished for the day we will breath freedom of air and free from naivity and stupidity. | |

I replied to your email from Bangkok on 6th or 7th March 2003 from an internet cafe but had trouble with the server.
Both the email which you sent me as well as my reply somehow mysteriously got deleted.
To answer your query, "Yes, I am the son of Sayama Boudville who taught at St. Pauls High School (Institute), Rangoon".
I have several class photographs of my mother's classes throughout the years that she taught there, also, some memorabilia such as my Report Books, Promotion granted cards and the Staff photo and above all a group photo of the Brothers who ran the school.
Look forward to hearing from you or any other old Paulian or Brothers Old Boys again.
