MyanNet
Myan-Net is a Development Network for Myanmar professionals, communities and friends dedicated to development issues: encouraging grassroots participation, partnerships and creating a friendly open forum for discussions on issues and searching for practical approaches to help the people of Myanmar. Site coordinator is Ko Htin Myaing (Ben Aye Maung), Arch 1966.
Burmese American Professionals Society
The Burmese American Professionals Society (BAPS) is an organization composed of scientists, engineers, professionals, technologists, professors, technicians, and students from Burma. The BAPS organizes events and activities to foster professional and social cooperation among its members.
Web master is Daniel Maung, Son of Saya Mao Toon Siong. Maurice Chee (Mech 75) is the current President, Saya U Nyo Win and Ko Benny Tan are the past Presidents. EC Members (who are also RIT alumni) include Saya Allen Htay, Ko Thein Aung (James K. Wu), K C Chui, Ko Tin Myint (John Lee), Charlie Tseng, Diana Tseng, George Chan and Anthony Ng.
Burmese American Association of Texas - BAAT
BAAT is a social organization to serve cultural and social needs of the Burmese-American families in Texas and surrounding areas. BAAT is a non profit organization whose goal is to help improve the lives of less fortunate member and community around BAAT.
The Water, Research and Training Centre for a new Burma - WRTCBurma
A non-governmental, non-profit, educational foundation working for the Burmese peoples by promoting and improving their access to research and training opportunities and education in the water and rural sector in Burma and abroad. Dr. Khin Ni Ni Thein, Civil 1977, is the founder and President of the WRTC.
